It is hard to believe that I am now over halfway through my internship at artXchange . The weeks have flown by but- as the saying goes- time passes quickly when you're having fun!

Taking those first few shaky steps from university into a professional role can be scary, but working in such a small team means that my input feels valued and I also receive a lot of constructive criticism which is brilliant! I already feel like I have learnt so much and it has been amazing to see the progress that we have made.

Over the past couples of weeks we have relaunched the blog, launched an annual newsletter and met with the brilliant Jo Cole from the Tees Valley, Durham and North Yorkshire Neurological Alliance about working together in the future.

On a more personal level I have been pushed out of my comfort zone recently by attending various networking events alone. Although it can be intimidating to approach people that you don't know I have realised that people honestly do not bite! They are there for the exact same reason that you are, and they may well be secretly a little bit relieved if you are the one to break the ice.

As sad as it is to consider that there is little over four weeks left, I am absolutely determined to make the most of it! There is a always plenty to do when you work for a start-up, and I intend to grab every experience with both hands!
